DAR XII, BJMP XII and ARBOs virtually sign MOA, MA under the EPAHP Program

A Memorandum of Understanding between the Regional Officials of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) XII and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) XII, and Marketing Agreements between BJMP Provincial Heads and Agrarian Reform Beneficiary Organizations (ARBOs), covering the provision of crops by said ARBOs to different BJMP correction facilities within Region 12, were signed on September 4, 2020.


DAR, farmers, BJMP sign Marketing Agreement for vegetable supplies

KORONADAL CITY - Department of Agrarian Reform in partnership with Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) successfully forged the Marketing Agreement with identified ARBOs under the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) Program during ceremonies in Koronadal City Friday, Sept. 4.

This program is the improved version of the former PAHP Program between DAR, DA and DSWD which was enhanced because of its notable impact to the lives of the farmers as explained by DAR Secretary Atty. John R. Castriciones, during his message via zoom.


Local farmer groups to supply vegetables for inmates of SK jails

ISULAN, Sultan Kudarat - The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Sultan Kudarat, in partnership with the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) signed a marketing agreement today, August 25, with selected Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries' Organizations from 2 municipalities of the province, under the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) Program of the government aimed to mitigate hunger, provide food security and reduce poverty in the country.


Gov. Catamco graces CLOA distribution in 2 Cotabato towns, vows aid to beneficiaries

ARAKAN, North Cotabato -- Governor Nancy Catamco today personally witnessed the ceremonial distribution of the Certificate of Land Ownership Award (CLOA) for some farmers in the province which she described as one of the best government programs.

The distributed area was the reservation site of University of Southern Mindanao-Cotabato Founcation College of Science and Technology (USM-CFCST) and the ceremonial program was held at the Arakan municipal gymnasium Tuesday afternoon.


Basilan prov'l gov't experimenting on sorghum production

COTABATO CITY --- There is a crop being introduced to farmers in Basilan virtually strange to them to complement a provincial livestock program meant to boost domestic food sufficiency.

The administration of Basilan Gov. Jim Salliman has initially propagated sorghum on a two-hectare land near the provincial government’s multi-million drip-irrigated greenhouse in Isabela City as a model farm, from where farmers in the island province can learn propagation of the crop.


African swine fever now in Kidapawan City

KIDAPAWAN CITY – An agriculture official on Saturday said the African Swine Fever (ASF) virus has already penetrated one of the 40 villages here.

Arlan Mangelen, regional director of Department of Agriculture 12, blood samples collected from several hogs raisers in Barangay Linangcob showed ASF’presence in the village.

Mangelen said ASF is now affecting domesticated hogs and high breed swine in at least 4 areas in North Cotabato province before the Kidapawan City report. He was referring to the towns of Magpet, Arakan and President Roxas.


DAR to distribute 4,400 hectares of reservation areas in North Cotabato

KIDAPAWAN CITY - The Department of Agrarian Reform is set to distribute 4,463.2122 hectares of reservation areas under the University of Southern Mindanao (USM) and the Cotabato Foundation College of Science and Technology (CFCST) in the municipalities of Arakan and President Roxas in North Cotabato on August 25, 2020, an agrarian refomr official today said.


“Serbisyong DAR TO DOOR” kicks off in North Cotabato

KIDAPAWAN CITY - The Department of Agrarian Reform in North Cotabato recently kicked-off the “Serbisyong DAR TO DOOR,” a door to door delivery of the Certificate of Land Ownership Awards (CLOAs) to agrarian reform beneficiaries in the province, a high-ranking official said.

Engr. Reynaldo Anfone, provincial agrarian reform program officer II, led the CLOA distribution to 82 ARBs in the municipalities of Tulunan, Matalam, and Kabacan on July 28, 29, and 30, respectively.


Banisilan farmers get about P13-M worth of Agri inputs from DAR-Cotabato

BANISILAN, North Cotabato - More than 1,195 farmer-beneficiaries in Banisilan town in North Cotabato are expected to benefit from the agri-inputs augmentation under the Mindanao Sustainable Agrarian and Agriculture Development (MinSAAD) Project of the Department of Agrarian Reform with a combined amount of almost P13 million, high-ranking official of the department said.


Over 44k rice farmer beneficiaries in Region 12 get cash aid from DA

KORONADAL CITY - The Department of Agriculture (DA 12) has already disbursed more than PhP223-million of its Rice Farmers’ Financial Assistance (RFFA) fund after distributing this financial aid to 44,677 rice farmers. Each of these rice farmer-beneficiaries has received PhP5,000.

Arlan Mangelen, DA 12 regional executive director disclosed that the agency already accomplished 61.84% of its total regional allocation of 72,251 rice farmer-beneficiaries as of July 06, 2020.
