COTABATO CITY  – Face-to-face classes at all levels, both in public and private schools, in Sultan Kudarat province, have been suspended until April 15 due to hot weather.

The suspension was contained in Executive Order No. 70 issued by Vice Governor Raden Sakaluran in his capacity as acting governor.

It took effect today (April 2) and will last until April 15.

The country’s weather bureau recorded a 44 degrees Celsius heat index in the province and expected to continue in the coming days.

Matapos ang ambush, ang kotse ay nahulog sa gilid ng highway patungo sa swampy area.

Ayon sa ulat, nakaupo lang ang biktima sa loob ng kanyang maroon Toyota Town-Ace nang lapitan ng mga suspek at pinagbabaril ng maraming beses.

Narekober sa crime scene ang anim na basyo ng caliber 45 pistol.

Inaalam pa ang motibo ng krimen.

SULTRAN KUDARAT, Maguindanao del Norte - NAUWI sa palitan ng putok ang dapat sana’y entrapment operation ng Criminal Investigation and Detection Group o CIDG BARMM sa Sitio Mamadra, Barangay Limbo sa bayang ito 2:40 ng hapon kanina.

Ayon kay CIDG BARMM Regional Director Lt.Col. Ariel Huesca, nasawi sa operasyon si Datun L. Mastura habang nahuli rin ang kasama nitong si Norodin Sulaiman.

Sugatan naman si Patrolman Raffy Jacinto na kasapi ng CIDG na tinamaan sa kanyang paa.

COTABATO CITY – Heavy downpour and strong winds that battered Kabacan town in Cotabato province amid excruciating heat on Maundy Thursday have left 85 homes destroyed, the local disaster office said today.

Municipal Mayor Evangeline Pascua-Guzman who also chairs the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC), said four villages were hardly hit by the heavy downpour and what locals believed was mild tornado at started at about 3 p.m.

Of the 28 affected homes 28 were totally destroyed and 57 were partially damaged.

COTABATO CITY --- Some 40 houses were destroyed by strong winds that pummeled lowlands in the adjoining towns of Montawal, Maguindanao del Sur and Kabacan, North Cotabato amid heavy rains on Thursday afternoon.

Personnel of the Kabacan Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office were immediately deployed in affected areas to relocate affected villagers to evacuation sites, local officials told reporters on Friday.

COTABATO CITY - The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in the Bangamoro Region and police units in the city conducted on Tuesday "Oplan Harabas" in a bid to help ensure safety of commuters this holy week season.

The endeavor aims to ensure the riding public’s safety and security while traveling by making sure that no driver or dispatcher is under the influence of dangerous drugs.

Drug tests were made on the drivers, conductors and dispatchers of major terminals: Mindanao Star Bus Terminal; Husky Bus Terminal; Kutoco Van Terminal; and, A to Z Van Terminal.
