5 big time drug peddlers fall in anti-drug ops

CITY (Feb. 27) – A series of anti-drug operations in the region have resulted
to the arrest of five drug suspects and the recovery of more than Php20,000
worth of prohibited substance, police said.

Chief
Inspector Aldrin Gonzales, speaking for police in Region 12, said the series of
operation were conducted by the city police in partnership with the Philippine
Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA-12) and the city and regional Police Drug
Enforcement Units.

4 dead as MILF clashes with MNLF in North Cotabato

Cotabato – Four were killed in a clash involving members of two Moro
fronts in a remote village here over the weekend, police said today.

Chief Inspector
Sunny Leoncito, police chief of Matalam police station, said both the Moro
Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) and Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) have
suffered two fatalities each in sporadic skirmishes I Barangay Marbel, Matalam,
