CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao del Norte - Boluntaryong isinuko ng mga residente sa tatlong mga lugar na nasasakupan ng 57th Infantry (Masikap) Battalion ang mga kagamitang pandigma sa militar.

Ayon kay Lt. Col. Guillermo Mabute Jr., pinuno ng 57IB nasa 58 iba’t-ibang mga kalibre ng armas ang kanilang tinanggap mula sa kamay ng mga di otorisadong magdala ng baril mula buwan ng Pebrero hanggang nitong ika-19 ng Abril, 2024.

Ito ay mula sa mga residente ng Upi, Maguindanao del Norte; South UPI, Maguindanao del Sur; at Lebak, Sultan Kudarat.

CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao del Norte – Tuluyan ng iwinaksi ng tatlong mga nabiktima ng maling ideolohiya at sirkumstansiya ang kanilang armadong pakikibaka at pinili ang mas maayos at mapayapang pamumuhay.

Ito ang naging dahilan ng tatlong mga dating mandirigma ng teroristang grupo upang talikuran ang armadong pakikibaka at iharap ang kanilang sarili sa pamunuan ng 90th Infantry (Bigkis-Lahi) Battalion.

CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao del Norte - Major General Alex S. Rillera PA, Commander of the 6th Infantry (Kampilan) Division and Joint Task Force Central, expressed his full support for the plebiscite creating eight towns in North Cotabato, now called Special Geographic Area of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

This commitment was made during the 2nd Command Conference today, April 2, 2024, at the Multi-Purpose Hall of PRO12 in Tambler, General Santos City.

RAJAH BUAYAN, Maguindanao Sur – Five members of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) have voluntarily surrendered to military and local authorities here.

“Four surrenderers belonged to the BIFF-Kagui Karialan faction while the fifth surrenderer is under the BIFF-Bungos faction with both groups operating in Maguindanao del Sur,” Brig. Gen. Oriel Pangcog, the Army’s 601st Infantry Brigade commander, said in a report to the Army’s 6th Infantry Division on Friday.

DALA ang pitong mga matataas na kalibre ng armas ay nagdesisyon ang 15 dating kasapi ng Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters-Karialan Faction na sumuko na sa pamahalaan.

Ang pormal na pagsuko ay ginanap kahapon sa Cotabato City na sinaksihan ng PNP, AFP, Maguindanao del Norte Provincial Government at Cotabato City Government.

Ang surrender rites ay ginawa sa Shariff Kabunsuan Cultural Center.

MANILA – Presidential Peace Adviser Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. on Tuesday assured the Senate Committee on National Defense that the ongoing decommissioning of Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) combatants will be finished by 2025.

Galvez made this remark in response to Senator Imee Marcos' concern about a report that only 12,000 of the 40,000 MILF combatants have been decommissioned.

He informed the panel that 26,132 MILF combatants were decommissioned and 4,625 firearms had already been surrendered as of August last year.

CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao del Norte – Six former violent extremists (FVEs) and two former communist rebels (FRs) have embraced a transformative journey as they returned to the folds of the law.

This was formalized during the ceremonial presentation of FVEs and FRs at the 57th Infantry (Masikap) Battalion, Camp Edwards, Barangay Mirab, Upi, Maguindanao del Norte on Monday.

Yan ang sinabi ni Maguindanao del Norte Police Provincial Director Col Sultan Salman Sapal sa kaniyang pakikipagpulong sa 221 na mga barangay kapitan mula sa probinsya.

Ginanap ito sa Old Capitol, Barangay Simuay, bayan ng Sultan Kudarat kung nasaan ang opisina ng provincial police.

Layon ng pagpupulong na mapag-usapan ang mga tungkulin ng bawat punong barangay sa pagpapanatli ng kaayusan at kapayapaan sa kanilang nasasakupan.
