KORONADAL CITY - Handa nang rumampa sa Mutya ng South Cotabato 2022 ang 14 na mga binibini sa lalawigan.

Kinabibilangan ang mga ito ng mga pambato ng 16 na mga local government units at 3 malalaking organisasyon.

Ayon kay Mutya Committee Chair Cynthia Barrientos rarampa sa beauty pageant ang mga Mutya ng mga LGU na hindi nabigyan ng pagkakataon noon na lumaban noong 2019 dahil sa pandemya.

PAL pioneers Cotabato-Tawi-Tawi route, says tourism director general Sinarimbo

COTABATO CITY The first flight will be on June 9, 2022 (Thursday). Flights will operate twice a week (Monday and Thursday), departing at 07:30AM-08:40AM via PR 2487 from Cotabato Awang Airport (CBO) and arriving at Sanga-Sanga Airport (TWT) in 1 hour and 10 minutes.

Ms. Rosslaini Alonto-Sinarimbo, director general of the Ministry of Trade, Investment and Tourism, said flights from Tawi-Tawi to Cotabato will leave at 09:40AM via PR 2488.

Another returning overseas Filipino nabbed over protocol breach

MANILA – Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat on Monday reported that another Filipino from overseas was caught having broken the mandatory quarantine after posting on social media.

In an interview over DZMM, Puyat said the Filipino made a post of them having a massage.

Grandest Guinakit fluvial parade highlights 2021 Shariff Kabunsuan celebration in BARMM

COTABATO CITY — To highlight the week-long commemoration of Shariff Kabunsuan in the Bangsamoro region, over 200 ornament-clad boats flocked to the Tamontaka River in Kalanganan II, Cotabato City on Sunday, Dec. 19, 2021.
 
This year’s ‘Guinakit’ fluvial parade, organized by the region’s Ministry of Trade, Investments, and Tourism (MTIT), is said to be the grandest fluvial festival by far.
 
Hundreds of spectators, including BARMM officials and locals, witnessed Sunday’s parade.
 
Guinakit is a Maguindanaon word which means ‘a convoy of boats’.

Landmark river in west coast of Maguindanao

DATU BLAH SINSUAT, Maguindanao --- The mighty Matuber River is a landmark in this coastal municipality.

It has picturesque stretches close to one spot in the coastline of the seaside Datu Blah Sinsuat town, most known by its acronym DBS, in Maguindanao province.

DBS, a peaceful town, is now touted as the new fishing capital of Maguindanao.

BARMM honors 14th century foreign Islamic missionary 

COTABATO CITY --- The Bangsamoro government capped off with a “Guinakit” fluvial parade its commemoration on Sunday of the arrival here in the 14th century of Shariff Mohammad Kabunsuan from Johore Bahru, now part of Malaysia.

Kabunsuan, an Islamic preacher of mixed Arab and Malay descent, was responsible for organizing the first ever Muslim communities in pagan settlements in what is now Cotabato City and neighboring provinces.

MTIT-BARMM gears up for grandiose Shariff Kabunsuan festival

COTABATO CITY  – After two years of hiatus, the Bangsamoro Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), through the Ministry of Trade, Investment and Tourism (MTIT) will commemorate the arrival of Islam in mainland Mindanao.

The activity for the annual Shariff Kabunsuan Festival will commence on December 15.

It will be a series of events to be highlighted by the “Guinakit” fluvial parade or the reenactment of the arrival of Missionary from Johore Shariff Mohammad Kabunsuan via the Rio Grande de Mindanao.
