The team from Cebu City LGU first went to Tulunan where it distributed gallons of water, tents, hygiene kits, toothbrush, soaps, mosquito nets and medicine, the most needed in the evacuation sites.
After Tulunan, the group proceeded to Makilala, the hardest hit among localities due to landslides and ground fissures.
The number of displaced families was also higher in Makilala as compared to other towns.
Obviously, the people of North Cotabato were so grateful for the Cebu City officials who travelled all the way from Visayas just to make life among Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) at least bearable.
