President Rodrigo Duterte yesterday warned he will place the entire country under martial law if communist rebels and their sympathizers would take their rebellion to the streets.Speaking before wounded soldiers in Cagayan de Oro City, the President said the communist and their urban sympathizers are planning to hold massive protests in the streets. He said the communist are holding meetings in public places, including their fronts. You can gather in the streets but it it becomes violent, I will no hesitate to declare military rule, he told the communists. Do not commit the mistake. I am not trying to scare you. Do not commit the mistake of staging a rebellion, where there is fighting in the streets, he said.
