Gilas Pilipinas scored big anew in the 39th Jones Cup and finished off Chinese Taipei Team-B 93-82 as the nationals today rose to 2-1 record going into Tuesday's battle against Japan in the 1 p.m. game.

As expected, the athletic Matthew Wright, Jio Jalalon and RR Pogoy took turns in giving the host team its third setback.

“Puso prevailed upon my team," national coach Chot Reyes said.

Up next the Gilas is Japan at 1p.m. Tuesday.

Wright fired 21 points and led all Filipino shooters for the second straight game. 

Kobe Paras went on scoreless for the second time but remained confident he will make a difference in the coming games.
