Hello Kitty-inspired room inspires pupils in Sultan Kudarat school
ESPERANZA, Sultan Kudarat - People of all ages adore this character that has a special place in their hearts, Hello Kitty is now making a spotlight in a public school here as one teacher filled her classroom with this famous fictional Japanese cartoon character.
Students, visitors and netizens are in awe with the Hello Kitty-themed classroom of Cynthia Landia Galande of Esperanza Central School.
Galande’s wide array of Hello Kitty items such as chairs, toys, slippers, electric fans,tables,curtains, cabinets, trash can, water jug and many more adorned every corner of her classroom.
Hello Kitty cut-outs are hang from the ceiling and stuck to the walls, even the floor was covered with hello kitty character floor mat.
Galande said she decided to decorate her classroom this way because she wanted to make it conducive for learning and motivate her pupils with special needs to learn and enjoy school.
Galande, a teacher of Learners with Special Education Needs (LSEN)said: ”I am already a Hello Kitty collector, it was a coincidence that the name of our classes are cartoon characters so I choose Hello Kitty as the name of my section.”
