Photographer shot dead in Cotabato City
COTABATO CITY - A photographer here failed to reach the hospital
alive after sustaining multiple fatal gunshot wounds in the body from a still
unidentified assailant.
Police identified the victim as Faisal M. Kamsa 49, married, and
a resident of Tukananes, Poblacion 7.
Initial investigation conducted by elements of Police Precinct
No 1 revealed that Kamsa was on board a passenger motorcycle, locally known as
haba-habal, when he was fired upon at close range around 8:45 p.m. p.m. along
Mabini St., Poblacion 6 by the assailant who fled to an undetermined direction.
The victim sustained four fatal gunshot wounds, one on his chest
and three on his abdomen, and was declared dead upon arrival at the Cotabato
Regional and Medical Center.
Police investigators, who recovered three empty shells for cal. 45
pistol at the crime scene, are now conducting further investigation to

Cops responding to robbery report nab suspected drug pusher
COTABATO CITY -- Police responding to an alleged robbery-holdup
here nabbed a suspected drug-pusher who yielded 10 sachets of what is believed
to be illegal drugs.
Police Precinct No.1 deputy chief, Sr. Inspector Tirso Pascual,
identified the suspect as Wahib B. Salendab, 40, single, resident of Shariff,
Urban Rosary Heights, this city.
Pascual said they were responding to a call from a concerned
citizen about a robbery-holdup at Doña Theresa Street at around 4:30 p.m.
yesterday when they saw Salendab, whose features matched the description of the
suspect provided by the caller.
Found in Salendab’s possession were 10 heat-sealed plastic
sachets of white crystalline substance believed to be shabu.

Teen driver from Tagum dies in Isulan mishap
ISULAN, Sultan Kudarat – A teenager motorist died Sunday in a
highway crash when the motorbike he was riding flipped and hit a cement mixer
in Barangay Bambad here Sunday.
Rolly Edquila Dumanig of Tagum City went to Isulan to join a Ride
for Peace of motorcycle drivers.
However, police believed Dumanig also joined a drag race,
locally known as No rules race, among motorcycle enthusiasts.
2 carnap gang members arrested in Koronadal
KORONADAL CITY – Two males suspected to be members of a local
carnapping gang were arrested by joint operatives of Koronadal City PNP and
Highway Patrol Group Monday morning.
Supt. Barney Condes, city police director, identified the
suspects as Reymark Ambay Bersola, 20 of Barangay San Jose and Sandy Lauron, 24
of Barangay Zone 3, both facing robbery charges.
Seized from them were two motorbikes with dubious documents,
spare parts and identification cards.
They were believed to be stolen.
Condes said the two had been placed under surveillance for
several months.
Initial investigation showed the two were involved in carnapping
motorcycles, redesign and change its color, interchanged its spare parts then
sell it somewhere.
