Suspected drug pusher killed in shootout with copsLIBUNGAN, North Cotabato -- A suspected drug pusher was shot dead by lawmen after he resisted arrest during the implementation of search warrant Friday.Arlan Tagle Pulido, alias bimbo of Barangay Nicaan was pronounced dead on arrival at a hospital in Midsayap.Seized from his home was a cal. 22 revolver, bullets for cal. 22 and cal. 45 pistol, four sachets suspected shabu. DATU SAUDI AMPATUAN, Maguindanao -- Unidentified gunmen shot dead a motorist along the national highway here Friday, police said today.Senior Inspector Rasul Pandulo identified the victim as Iskak Midal Mamalangkas, 30, a resident of Barnagay Tukanalipao, Mamasapano.Mamalangkas was driving a motorbike when two men on separate motorbike shot him. Motive of the attack remained unknown. Mark Villar is set to visit this city for the inauguration of a vital infrastructure destroyed by flash floods last year.Regional Public Works Director Reynaldo Tamayo Sr, the DPWH secretary will lead the initial opening of Namnama Bridge that connects the city proper Barangay Namnama to Lutayan, Sultan Kudarat.Tamayo said tentatively, the initial opening, of the bridge funded by DPWH central officewill take place next month.
