PRO-12 new regional director assumes post
GEN. SANTOS CITY– Former National Police (PNP) Maritime Group head, Chief Supt. Marcelo C.
Morales, on Wednesday assumed as the new regional director for the police in
the SOCCSKSARGEN region during turn over ceremonies in Gen. Santos City.
Morales
replaced Chief Supt. Cedrick Train, who was promoted as head of the Directorate
of Integrated Police Operations (DIPO) for Western Mindanao.
PNP Deputy
Director General Archie Francisco Gamboa, currently the chief directorial staff,
presided over the changing of the guards at PRO-12 headquarters in Barangay
Tambler, Gen. Santos City.
In his
turn-over speech, Train expressed profound gratitude for all the support
extended to him by the men and women of Police Regional Office (PRO) 12 as he
bid farewell to the place that has become an epitome of change and progress
thru his leadership in almost two years, Chief Inspector Aldrin Martin
Gonzales, PRO-12 spokesperson, said.
I thank the
men and women of PRO 12 who served as an inspiration and aspiration, I urged
you to continue to support the new regional director, Train said.
The outgoing
regional director is looking forward with high expectations towards his new
assignment as the new DIPO-Western Mindanao.
As he left,
Train had parting words for his former subordinates, stressing the fight
against terrorism and insurgency must continue without letup. The security
measure should be strengthened against the communist terrorists that pose
threats to peace and order in the region, he said.Morales,
former chief of PNP Maritime Group, lauded the people behind his designation as
PRO-12 regional director, including President Duterte, and all others who
believed in his capacity, supported and prayed for him.
