PRO-12 "one-time-big-time" opn nets 35 wanted men

GEN.SANTOS CITY - Various units of Police Regional Office 12 (PRO12) in coordination with PDEA 12 and the Philippine Army conducted One-Time-Big-Time (OTBT) Operation through simultaneous implementation of 78 Search Warrants throughout SOCCSKSARGEN Region on November 11, 2019.
Elements of PRO 12 particularly RID 12, RMFB 12, GSCPO, SPPO, SCPPO, SKPPO, CPPO, 3 SAB PNP SAF, CIDG 12, HPG 12, and RIU 12 together with PDEA 12 and AFP counterparts composed of 71 IB PA, 39 IB PA, and 27 IB PA joined forces in the implementation of said warrants which resulted in the arrest of 35 persons, death of one, confiscation of 41 units of assorted firearms with 372 rounds of ammunition, and confiscation of 74 item of illegal drugs with estimated street value of PHP 500,000.

Corpus, accompanied by Colonel Lex Ephraim Gubat, acting Sarnagani police provincial director, and Colonel Barney Condez, chief Regional Mobile Force Battalikon, presented the seized items during a news conference on Monday.
During the conference, OTBT accomplishment of SPPO inclusive of simultaneous implementation of 21 Search Warrants and Warrant of Arrests were presented before different media representatives in Region 12. Among the arrested is the Number 3 Most Wanted Person (Provincial Level) identified as Billy Abubakar Druz who died on police operation and tagged as responsible on shooting to death of Maitum Municipal Councilor, Mr. Edwin Ramos on May 13, 2007; the Rank Number 1 Most Wanted Person (Municipal Level) and 7 Wanted Persons.
According to PBGEN CORPUS, the Region wide OTBT Operation is a jumpstart of the implementation of a more intensified and continuous campaign against illegal activities and proliferation of illegal drugs in Region 12.
“As the Regional Director of PRO 12, I am commending our police operatives together with our counterparts in the Armed Forces of the Philippines with this astounding accomplishment…We are hoping that this accomplishment will send a strong signal to the criminal elements that the PRO 12 police force will continue conducting operations such as this so that we will keep on enjoying the prevailing peace and order situation in the region” RD CORPUS said.
Since the stint of PBGEN ALFRED SOTTO CORPUS as PRO 12 Regional Director in more than a couple of months or so, there have been 374 Illegal Drugs Operations conducted in SOCCSKSARGEN in coordination with partner agencies wherein 226 were arrested and eight were recorded dead on police operation. Additionally, a total of 23 persons have surrendered to police authorities in line with the implementation of OPLAN TOKHANG.
