Suspect in murder of internet cafe attendant falls

KORONADAL CITY - Police arrested Friday in Gen. Santos City an ambulant peanut vendor believed to be behind the murder of a lady internet cafe attendant here the other day.

Supt. Barney Condes, Koronadal City police director, identified the suspect as Rene Boy Rebollo, an ambulant peanut vendor and regularly visits the Netspot internet cafe along Alunan Avenue, Koronadal City.

Rebollo was arrested in a police follow up operations in Barangay Apopong, Gen. Santos City.

He was identified based on the CCTV footage of nearby business establishments.

Police operatives who arrested Rebollo also recovered several touch-screen mobile phones believed to be part of his loot.

Rebollo has scratches on his body and arms in what police said caused by his victim's resistance.

The suspect, now detained at Koronadal City lock-up cell, still wear the slippers that was captured on CCTV.
