Surallah, Sto. Nino, Norala rule Tnalak street dancing competition

KORONADAL CITY -- A contingent representing the town of Surallah, South Cotabato ruled one of the three categories of the street dancing competition featuring local culture and tradition.In fact, the Purok Sison Elementary School won the championship in Kadsagayan a Lalan for the third straight year, this time taking home P320,000 cash prize, including the P20,000 additional prize from Sen. Nancy Binay.1st runner up went to Christian School of Polomolok, and 2nd runner up was Panay National High School, Municipality of Sto. Niño.

This year's festival has been the most colorful and most beautiful so far, South Cotabato Gov. Daisy Avance Fuentes during the opening program with Ilocs Norte Gov. Imee Marcos, Sen. Cynthia Villar and Special Assistant to the Presidential Christopher Bong Go in attendance.

All is set for 12 PH bird festival in Tacurong

TACURONG CITY - The local government unit here is gearing up for the hosting of the 12th Philippine Bird Festival and 4th Tacurong City Bird Festival in May 11-12.
The two-day festival is expected to draw bird enthusiasts from Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Nepal, Taiwan,and Indonesia. They will start bird watching in Tacurong Baras Bird Sanctuary when they arrive on May 10.Tacurong was chosen as this year’s host of the Philippine Bird Festival because of their Bird Sanctuary.
