2 men shot dead, another hurt in grenade blast
COTABATO CITY - Another shooting incident was reported in the city despite efforts of the local police to contain rising cases of crime against life.The latest victim of crime was Moktar Sangki Lindongan, 30, resident of Gov. Gutierrez Avenue, Barangay Rosary Heights 9, Cotabato City.Supt. Rex Anongos, city police chief, said police investigation showed the victim was inside Espinoza compound along Soledad Street, RH-13 when shot by still unidentified armed men.Responding elements of Police Station 2 found several empty shells for cal. 45 pistol and 9mm pistol.Probers also learned the suspects left the crime scene by boarding on a white sedan car.Personal grudge could be the motive of the incident, police said.An unidentified man was also shot dead in Barangay Bagua 3 for still unknown reason.Early on Friday evening, a certain Noli Bustillo was injured when men riding tandem on a motorbike tossed a hand grenade in front of a house inHappy Homes Subdivision.Anongos saidBustillo, who was standing nearby, sustained shrapnel injuries on his limbs and was already out of the hospital after receiving treatment.The suspects immediately fled.Two other crime incidents were reported the past 72 hours, including the day light shooting of Aniceto Rasalan, secretary to Mayor Japal Guiani Jr and the murder of a college teacher in Barangay Bagua, Cotabato City.
