4 die in South Cotabato high way mishap

KORONADAL CITY - Three persons were killed when a motorcycle they were riding smashed an Isuzu Bighorn vehicle in the national highway in Tantangan, South Cotabato.The incident happened in Purok Acacia, New Iloilo, Tantangan town at about 7 p.m. Sunday.Senior Insp. Felix Medel, Tantangan town police chief, identified the fatalities as Marbon Fronda, his 3-month-old pregnant wife Maricel and another back-rider namedDexter John Didua, 24, all residents of Arakan, North Cotabato.They were heading toward a relative's home in Koronadal City for a short vacation when the accident transpired.Medel said Fronda was driving the motorbike with his wife and Didua. They were tailing an Isuzu van which turned left.Police said it appearedthat the motorbike was too close to the vehicle before it. Marbon died on the spot while his wife and the third passenger expired while being operated on at a local hospital.Police identified the Isuzu van driver asArmando Sormillo who came up with an amicable settlement with the victims' relatives.
