COTABATO CITY -- The Regional Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Task Force,Matanog PNP and members of the Regional Public Safety Battalion on Sunday raided a villagehere and seized seven kilos of dried marijuana (cannabis)leaves.The raid was conducted inSitio Malbog, BarangayBugasan
Sur, Matanog, Maguindanao where joint police authorities confiscated about P280,000 worth of dried marijauan ready for distribution to other areas.The regional anti-narcotics team was also hunting down a couple from BarangayBarangay Pagalamatan, Amai
Manabilang, Lanao del sur.
Police said the husband-wife tandem of Pawkan Ampuan and Nana Ampuan, bothsuspected shabu pushers were the subject of buy bust operation in Amai Manabilang but they managed to elude arrest.However, Misug Munir Makabangi of Barangay Pagalamatan, Bumbaran, Lanao del Sur was arrested during the operation. Seized from Makabangi were shabu and marked money.The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao is closing in on Lanao del Sur bign time shabu pushers following reports of massive distribution of prohibited stuff in the province.
