KORONADAL CITY - A married woman was found dead in Banga, South Cotabto Sundaywhile a barangay health worker was shot dead Monday in Tacurong City.Josie Cabelaje, Barangay Health Worker of Barangay Baras, Tacurong City was shot in the head by an unidentified man who quickly fled on board a motorbike.Police Supt. Junny Buenacosa, Tacurong City PNP chief, said Cabelaje has just alighted from a tricycle in front of the city public marketat past 1 p.m. when the gunman shot her in the head from behind.She died on the spot. Motive of the attack remained unknown.In BarangayRizal, Banga, South Cotabato, a woman who was last seen gathering firewood was found dead near a river Sunday.Police Senior Inspector Senen Balayon, Banga police chief, identified the victim asLeizel Iray, 25 years old.Balayon said Iray was last seen at past 3 p.m. gathering firewood. When she did not return home at 6 p.m., her husband Nimrad searched for her along with the neighbors.Balayon said the victim's remains was subjected to autopsy to determine of she was molested before she was killed.
