Cotabato City has 23,000 voters without biometrics

COTABATO CITY - Registered voters who have no biometric records with the poll body cannot vote next in year's elections, a poll official today said. No biometrics, no vote, is the new campaign of the Commission on Elections (Comelec), according to city Cotabato City election officer Atty. Michael Ignes. Don't wait for the last minute to revalidate your registration records with the Comelec, Ignes told voters in an interview by DXMS Radyo Bida.Ignes said it would be very inconvenient for voters to visit the Comelec office at the last minute because there will be chaos as we have experienced in the past. Revalidation and submission of biometrics at the Comelec offices office will only last until October 31. Cotabato City has more than 23,000 registered voters who have no biometric records as of yet. If they will not validate their registration, for sure they cannot vote, he said.
