COTABATO
CITY – Sectional power interruptions have been implemented by the Cotabato
Light and Power Company as power supply from the National Grid Corporation were
cut off Monday afternoon.

Arlene
Valdez-Hipega, Cotabato Light Branding and Corporation Communications, said the
NGCP’s Tacurong Sub-Station has suffered breakdown, cutting alternate power source for Cotabato City and Maguindanao.

Cotabato Light has
been receiving power supply from the Tacurong Sub Station after two steel
towers of NGCP were bombed in Pikit, North Cotabato Friday night.

As per
initial report from NGCP, one Tacurong line is broken. As of the moment, we do
not have power supply from NGCP,” Hipega said in a text message.

We are
running our diesel fed plant to mitigate the power shortage,” she said.

Sorry for
the inconveniences caused by this power situation which are beyond our control,”
Hipega said.
