Earthquakes hit Tawi-Tawi, Davao Oriental

COTABATO CITY - Two separate strong earthquake hit two areas in Mindanao Tuesday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said today.In its website,Phivolcs said a magnitude 5.0 tremor hit Gov. Generoso town in Davao Oriental at 11:02 a.m. today with the epicenter traced 185 kilometer east.No damage to property was reported in earthquake Phivolcs said was tectonic in origin.At 1:19 a.m Tuesday, a magnitude 5.6 earthquake also hit Tawi-Tawi with its epicenter traced 16 kilometers east of Simunul island.Intensity IV was felt in Simunul, Bongao and Panglima Sugala and in Siasi, Sulu.Intensity III - Languyan, Tawi-tawi Maimbung, Sulu
