Flashand Fire hits Koronadal commercial district

KORONADAL CITY - A fire of still unknown origin gutted down several small business establishments made of light materials at the corner of near the corner of Gen. Santos Drive and Aquino Street (fronting Ramona Plaza Hotel), officials said.In a flash report aired over DXOM-AMRadyo Bida Koronadal, Nathalia Sumudio, owner of a house where the fire originated, said the conflagration started at about 1:30 p.m. Then the fire quickly spread to nearby stalls, Sumudio said.Bert Hinay, Barangay Zone 3 chairperson, said the fire damaged Sumudio's housea dress shop anda variety store, all made of wood and GI sheets.Sumudio said her household members were stunned by the fire incident and decided to run away, leaving their valuables.She sustained minor injuries after she fell.Arson investigators are still determining the cause of the fire and extent of damage.
