Fr. Joe Ante' final journey begins
COTABATO CITY -Fr. Jose Ante, OMI, the first Filipino Oblates of Mary Immaculate provincial superior, who died in a car crash on December 4 in Matanao, Davao del Sur, will be laid to rest at the OMI cemetery in Grotto Shrine, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao.His Eminence Orlando Cardinal Quevedo, OMI, DD, archbishop of Cotabato, will preside the 9 a.m. mass at the Archbishop Mongeau chapel in Notre Dame University, Cotabato City.Accompanying Cardinal Quevedo in the funral massare Oblate priests and Cotabato diocesan clergy.After the mass, Fr. Ante's remains will be brought to Tamontaka, DOS, Maguindanao.Last year, during the 75th year of Oblates presence in the Philippines, Fr. Ante celebrated his50 Years of Presbyterial Ordination, along with Cardinal Quevedo.Last month, Fr. Ante, fondly called by priests, friends and associates as Fr. Joe, officiated the funeral mass for Fr.
