Grenade blast rocks contractor's compound in Cotabato City

COTABATO CITY - Unidentified men tossed a fragmentation grenade inside the motor pool compound of a private contractor along Rabago extension, Cotabato City.Residents told police they heard a blast Sunday night and reported the matter toPolice Station 4.Police bomb experts recovered the safety lever for MK-2 fragmentation grenadeinside the compound on Purok Kambal.The blast hit no one butdamaged a parked dump truck owned by Sumampao who told police he has no idea why his compound was subjected to grenade attack.

Police are still investigation on the incident, the second since Thursday last week where a driver was slightly hurt when two men tossed a grenade in front of Sugar Pappi restaurant along Sinsuat Avenue.
