Gunmen kill family of 3 in Kabacan

KIDAPAWAN CITY - Gunmen shot dead Sunday a family of three in a remote village in North Cotabato, police said. Supt. Bernard Tayong, speaking for North Cotabato provincial police office, said the shooting occurred at past 7 a.m. in the house owned by Regor Garcia family inBarangay Aringay, Kabacan, North Cotabato.Tayong said Arnel K. Wagia, the Aringgay village chair, has requested police assistance as something unusual was happening in the Garcia home. Responding elements of theKabacan PNP found three dead bodies inside the house who they later identified as Roger Garcia, 47, Milcha Nicanor Garcia, 49 and Danny Anne Garcia, 14, all residents ofPurok Pag-asa, Barangay Aringay.Tayong said the gunmen have already left when the police arrived to the victims' home which was five kilometers away from Kabacan town proper. Scene of the Crime operatives found empty shells for cal. 45 pistol.Tayong said investigators remained clueless on the real motive of the attack. Investigation was still on going.
