ITCZ, LPA sighted in east PH, rain expected in Mindanao

WEATHER TODAY Embedded along the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ), the low pressure area (LPA) was estimated at 555 kilometers east of Eastern Samar.PAGASA Weather Forecaster Jori Loiz said this weather disturbance will gradually enhance the hanging habagat. Due to the combined effect of the ITCZ and the southwesterly winds, cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms will be experienced over MIMAROPA, Visayas and Mindanao. Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
