Magpet internet cafe operator hacked to death

MAGPET, North Cotabato - A 60-year-old man who operates an internet cafe inside the town's public marketwas killed by his customers, police here said.Senior Inspector Felix Fornan, Magpet town police chief, identified the victim as Isidro Vesillas Alpas whose remains were found by responding policemen early Thursday morning.Fornan said the victim had stab wounds in different parts of his body when police opened his internet cafe.Earlier, a fellow occupant in the public market alerted the police about the incident.Investigators learned the old man's valuables and cash have been missing. Based on the injuries the man had sustained, it showed he resisted his attackers, numbering more or less three to four persons.Fornan said no indications of forcible entry in the internet cafe.He said investigators are following up a lead on the identities of the suspects even as he appealed to anyone to help police gather information leading to the arrest of the perpetrators.
