Meat processed products without label seized in South Cotabato

KORONADAL CITY (Jan. 16) -- Thirty packs of pork chorizo were confiscated by the Provincial Veterinary Office in Tampakan, South Cotabato Friday.
With the help of Office of the Municipal Agriculture Office (OMAg), 10 of these products were sezied in Barangay Sta Cruz while the other 20 packs were recovered in Barangay Maltana.
The provincial veterinary office said the food packs have no label and confirmed to have come fro Davao City.
A provincial ordinance is being enforced in the province banning the entry of live hogs, met, processed meat like chorizo, tocino and other food from areas that were hit by African Swine Fever.
