Napenas vows to work for justice for SAF 44

KORONADAL CITY - Retired police Director Getulio Napenas today vowed he will continue working so that the fallen Special Action Force (SAF) 44 in the Mamasapano encounter will get justice. Ipaglalaban ko ang katurangan ng SAF troopers na namatay at nakaligtas sa Mamasapano encounter (I will fight for justice for SAF troopers who died and survived in the Mamasapano encounter)” Napenas told DXOM-AM Radyo Bida Koronadal .Napenas said he will continue to work for justice for his fallen subordinates and will continue to assist, in private capacity, the SAF widows.The retired chief of PNP elite force issued the statement after the National Bureau of Investigation filed murder, direct assault and theft against 90 individuals who belonged to Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) and private armed groups (PAGs)On January 25 this year, 44 SAF were killed after the group killed Malaysian terrorist Zulkifli Bin Hir alias Marwan in Tukanalipao, Mamasapano, Maguindanao.Napenas once served as South Cotabato police provincial director before he became SAF director.
