COTABATO CITY – With the advent of
technology, paperless and faster means communication, officials of the
Philippine Postal Corporation and Datu Abdullah Sangki town in Maguindanao
still believed in the country’s postal services.

On Thursday, Mayor Bai Mariam Sangki
Mangudadatu, town Councilor and Association of Barangay Chairperson president
Edris Sangki and Atty. Jorlito Pingal, Philpost representative, led the
inauguration of the postal station on Friday. The postal station put up inside the town
hall compound in Barangay Talisawa, was the 70th postal station in
Maguindanao.
Post Master General and CEO Josefina dela
Cruz, in a message read for her by Atty. Pingal, she said the project aims to
bring closer the government’s postal services to the people of DAS and nearby
communities. We are glad with this postal station, our
people no longer need to go to the town of Isulan in Sultan Kudarat or in Cotabato
City for mail and parcel services,” Mayor Mangudadatu said in a statement. The postal station will also serve the
people of adjacent municipalities of Rajah Buayan, Ampatuan, Shariff Aguak,
Datu Unsay, Datu Saudi Ampatuan, Guindulungan, Talayan and Datu Odin Sinsuat,
