PNP, PDEA arrest 5 men in drug buy bust in Midsayap and Libungan

MIDSAYAP,
North Cotabato – Police and anti-narcotics agents on Wednesday arrested two men
during illegal drug buy bust operations and seized suspected methamphetamine
hydrochloride, police said today.

Supt.
Reynante delos Santos, Midsayap police chief, identified the suspected illegal drug
peddlers as Datu Kali alias Kyle and Esmael Maon alias Mael, both residents of
Barangay Poblacion 3 following a raid at 4 a.m. today.

Elements
of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and Midsayap PNP seized 70 sachets of
shabu and illegal drug paraphernalia from the suspects.

In
nearby Libungan, North Cotabato, three men believed to be engage in illegal
drug trade were arrested by lawmen in the village of Batiocan.

Arrested
in the 1 a.m. joint police and PDEA raid were Rogie Patiño, Danilo Buenilo
and Leonardo Catulong. Authorities
seized 14 sachets of suspected shabu.

In Lanao del Sur, Cotabato City and Maguindanao at least 48 villages
have been identified by the PDEA in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao
(PDEA-ARMM) as drug affected communities.
