Rubber tapper with 2 unlicensed guns arrested in Kidapawan
KIDAPAWAN CITY - For possessing an unlicensed gun, a rubber tapper from Makilala, North Cotabato is now behind bars.The Kidapawan City PNP said Sonny Fortugalete, 35 was roaming in Kidapawan City, not only with one, but two hand guns.Police believed Fortugalete, aside from being a rubber tapper, was also engaged in gun running.He yielded two units of cal. 22 handgun with six bullets. Fortugalete could not produce documents legalizing his possession of low caliber yet dangerous hand guns.Charges for illegal possession of firearms are being prepared against him.Meanwhile, reports reaching DXND Radyo Bida from NDBC correspondent DonDon Dinoy, said police seized more than P500,000 worth of suspected shabu in a drug buy bust operations along portions of the Cotabato-Davao highway.Police posed as buyers at a roadside in Barangay Bato, Sta Cruz, Davao del Sur which led to the arrest of Richard Noquia. Recovered from him was 52.5 grams of suspected shabu, shabu paraphernalia and marked money.Noquia has been in the order of battle of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency due to his involvement in large scale illegal drug trade in Davao del Sur, Digos City and North Cotabato.
