COTABATO CITY - Three persons were killed and another hospitalizedin four shooting incidents that occurred in Cotabato City overnight, police said.But Senior Supt. Rex Anongos, city police director, was quick to declarethese were isolated cases and triggered more by personal grudge.Three of these crimes occurred between 4 p.m to 5 a.m.Anongos, citing police blotter reports, saidKahar Bandola was allegedly shot a certain Akmad Bayaowhile he was walking along Salamat Street and SK Pendatun extension at 4 p.m.An empty shell for cal. 45 pistol was found at the crime scene.At about 8 p.m., Renato Manuel of Concha Drive, De Mazenod Avenue, Barangay Rosary Heights 3, was shot by two men riding tandem on motorbike. Anongos said the victim and the suspects appeared to be talking for few minutes in front of the victim's homethen one of the two suspects opened fire using cal. 45 pistol. He was rushed to the hospital.At past 11 p.m., Tohame Ayunan of Barangay Bagua Mother was standing along Jose Lim Street when a man approached him then opened fire. He succumbed to two gunshot wounds from cal. 45 pistol and died instantly.At past 4 a.m., Abu Iman Macasasa, pedicab driver, was waiting for passengers in front of City Arcade along Bonifacio Street when a man arrived on a motorbike and shot him dead.Residents saidit appears the city has been engulfed by shooting season where shooting incidents happen on a daily basis.
