KORONADAL CITY - President Aquino today declared August 10, 2015 as Special Non Working Holiday in this city as it hosts the Council of International Organizations of Folklore and FolkArts (CIOFF)2015 International Folklore Festival.Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa signed Thursday Presidential Proclamation 1089 in response to a request by Koronadal City Mayor Peter Miguel to declare special non working day in the city on Monday. It is but fitting and proper that the people of the city of Koroandal be given the full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the ocassion with appropriate ceremonies, Ochoa said in the declaration.Speaking over DXOM-AM Radyo Bida, Mayor Miguel appealed to the people of Koronadal and South Cotabato to come and join us during the 10-day festival which starts August 9 and ends on August 18.Delegates from Sri Lanka have arrived for the event.Expected to arrive soon are delegates fromSlovenia, Russia, Sri Lanka, Mexico, Turkey, Poland, Japan, Indonesia and Chinese Taipei.
