Twister hits 3 areas in South Cotabato, destroys 80 houses

KORONADAL CITY - Almost 80 houses have been totally andpartially destroyed by a twister and strong winds in South Cotabato Thursday night.In a report to DXOM-AM Radyo Bida, the South Cotabato provincial disaster risk reduction and management council, said the twister which came along with heavy down pour and strong wind ripped through Banga and Sto Nino towns.About 28 houses inKoronadal City were also affected, according to Dads Bacalso, PDRRMC operations chair.Bacalso said the provincial government, on orders of South Cotabato Gov. Daisy Fuentes, has already distributed emergency relief goods to affected families.
