VP Binay to grace Sultan Kudarat's 68th natal day

SULTAN KUDARAT - Vice President Jejomar Binay is the guest of honor and speaker as the town of Sultan Kudarat celebrates its68th foundation anniversary today.Mayor Shameem Mastura of Sultan Kudarat said Binay is expected to be accompanied by senators and other national officials.Binay, who is eyeing the country's top post in next year's elections, has been a regular visitor of Sultan Kudarat's important events.Mastura said today is the culminating activities of all programs that started a month earlier which observers believed was unprecedented in Sultan Kudarat, one of the fastest growing town of Maguindanao.The town of Parang is also celebrating its 68th foundation anniversary today, according to Mayor Ibrahim Ibay.Ibay told DXMS Radyo that Maguindanao province and the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao have contributed a lot in the development of Parang, the gateway to Maguindanao.Aside from infrastructure development, Ibay said the town's accomplishments includepeaceful settlement of decades old family feud involving large Muslim clans.
