2 DepEd-Tacurong schools get national award
TACURONG
CITY – Two public elementary and high schools from this city were national
awardees in the Department of Education (DepEd) Search for Brigada Eskwela”
best implementers nationwide, officials here said.
The
Maria A. Montilla Memorial Elementary School (MAMMES) and Apolinario S.
Bernardo Memorial National High School (ASBMNHS), all under the Tacurong City
schools division, were awarded during ceremonies held in Quezon City.
MAMMES
and ASBMNHS were recognize Friday for being the Region XII Champions for
Elementary- Small School Category and Secondary-Small School Category,
respectively.
The
National Search for BE Best Implementers recognize champion-schools in every
region in the country.
Memvie
L. Alesna, MAMMES Principal and Ma. Teresita H. Escobia, ASBMNHS accepted the
award in behalf of their schools and stakeholders.
Alesna
said the award was another feather in the cap of her school that would
encourage them to perform better, not because of the awards, but because of
true service to the students and the community.
They
were accompanied by City Schools Division Superintendent Romelito G. Flores,
CESE and their respective Brigada Eskwela Coordinators- Geonex M. Leonin
(MAMMES) and Victor Amborgo (ASBMNHS).
Mayor
Lina O. Montilla, Vice-Mayor Joseph George Lechonsito, City Councilors Rodrigo
Jamorabon and Ariel Ferdinand Dela Cruz were also present during the ceremony.
Education
Sec. Brol Armin Luistro personal acknowledged the education and local officials’
presence in the awarding.
Their
support, according to the Secretary, satisfies the essence of Brigada Eskwela
which is the spirit of volunteerism and public private partnership for
education.
Earlier
this year, on September 5, MAMMES and ASBMNHS received their awards from DepEd 12
during the 7th Regional Management Committee Meeting cum Awarding Ceremony in
Tacurong City.
