Fuentes rallies govt servants help her make SoCot better than it is now

KORONADAL CITY - South Cotabato Gov. Daisy Avance-Fuentes has urged the people of South Cotabato to work together and improve the province into a better community.To attain it, Gov. Fuentes, delivering her state of the province address and aired live over DXOM-AM Radyo Bida Koronadal, cited three things that will be given priority within her term.This include improving the foundation of the family among the people of the province. Ang pamilya pa rin ang pinakamahalaga sa paghubog ng ating mga kabataan, she said.She also assured villagers that all barangays in the province are among her priorities. Pantay-pantay dapat ang development sa lahat ng barangay, she said.The State of the Province Address (SOPA) is an annual report of the Provincial Governor that highlights the accomplishments of the provincial government of the previous year as well as the major plans and programs for the ensuing year. The annual address of the Local Chief Executive is mandated by the Local Government Code and is presented to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, officials, employees, stakeholders and to the general public.But among the salient points that Fuentes mention in her speech, one had the highest and the strongest applause - that is additional benefits for all provincial and municipal government workers. Not only permanent employees but even job order workers will receive wage adjustments, she said as the crowd roared.She also mentioned the scholarship program for provincial employees to improve their respective academic capability for better services to the people of South Cotabato.Fuentes said after passing the strategic management system, provincial workers in the health sector will receive hazard pay.After revealing the accomplishments on infrastructure and development, Fuentes stressed that promotion of employees and granting of performance bonus will depend on the accomplishments of the department where the employee belongs.In jest, she mentioned about employees' habit on tardiness and attitude detrimental to government service.Fuentes delivered here SOPA at theSouth Cotabato Gymnasium andCultural Center.
