PIGCAWAYAN, North Cotabato -- One of the Overseas Filipino Workers who perished in a fire that hit a hotel in Iraq on Friday was from Pigcawayan, North Cotabato.Ruby Jean F. Soria has been working in a spa beside the Capitol Hotel in Kurdistan, Iraq for the past two years, her father former police officerKelly Soria of Barangay Poblacion Uno, Pigcawayan, North Cotabato. We have accepted her fate, Kelly told DXMS-Radyo Bida. sand// Nelly, Ruby Jean's mother, and several relatives are now in Manila waiting for the return of her daughter.The Philippine Embassy in Iraq said only 13 female OFWs, not 14 as reported, have died in a fire that hit the hotel on Friday.Soria was one of the more than 1,500 Filipinos workers in Kurdistan, mostly as hotel and restaurant personnel, engineers, nurses, beauty shopsand household service workers, according to Charge d’affaires Elmer Cato.
