2 LPAs in PAR, expect Mindanao rains, thunderstorms

WEATHER TODAY | PAGASA is monitoring two LPA's inside the PAR.At 4and00 AM Today, the Low Pressure Area was estimated at 440 km north northwest of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. Another LPA was spotted at 540 km east southeast of Hinatuan, Surigao Del Sur. Meanwhile, the center of Tropical Storm MERANTI (INTERNATIONAL NAME) outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR)was estimated at 1,460âkm east northeast of Legaspi City with maximum sustained winds of 85 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 100 kph. It is forecast to move west northwest at 20 kph.This could bring cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms in Mindanao, Western and Central Visayas and the Province of Palawan while in Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experienced partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
