SHARIFF AGUAK, Maguindanao -- Unidentified armed men
fired rifle grenade toward the house of the brother of the late Maguidanao Gov.
Andal Ampatuan Sr on Saturday dawn, leaving two children injured, police said.

Chief Inspector Reynato Mauricio, Maguindanao provincial police
spokesperson, said two children were slight injured when the grenade landed in
the house of Datu Pandag Ampatuan, younger brother of Ampatuan Sr, one of the
suspects in the 2009 Maguindanao massacre.

Mauricio said the grenade attack occurred at past 4 a.m. in Datu
Pandag's home in Barangay Poblacion 2, Shariff Aguak.

The minors were still asleep when the grenade attack occurred.

Police are still determining the motive of the attack, one of
the many rifle grenade attacks in Shariff Aguak before, during and after the
May 9 polls.
