3 die in yet another highway mishap in Koronadal City

KORONADAL CITY -- Three persons were pinned to death in a two-car smash up along a well-paved national highway in Barangay Saraviahere Thursday morning, DXOM-AM Radyo Bida reported. sand// The highway mishap which has become common occurrence in the descending Barangay Saravia highway happened at past 7 a.m. Thursday, according to Drl Allan Dideles of the Philippine National Red Cross.Involved in the mishap was a Coca-Cola 8-wheeler hauler loaded with soft drinks and a Frontier Bongo truck loaded with dried fish.The Coke hauler truck (UGV-561),driven by Jomel Retardo, 32 was heading to Koronadal City when it collided head on with an on coming cargo truck.Samson Generalao, a buko vendor near the accident site, said the smaller red cargo truck overtook anotoher vehicle andwas speeding as it ascend the highway when it collided head on with the Coke cargo truck, also colored red.The identities of the fatalities were not yet made available by traffic law enforcers until their next of kin are fully informed.This long, descending,well-pavedand four-laned straight national highway inBarangay Saravia to Barangay Carpenter Hill has already claimed several lives in previous accidents. sand//
