3 hurt in funeral parlor grenade attack in N. Cotabato

MATALAM, North Cotabato - Three persons who were attending a wake of a relativeat a local funeral parlor were hurt when unidentified men tossed a hand grenade at past midnightin Matalam, North Cotabato.Supt. Bernard Tayong, North Cotabato police spokepserson, said the blast hurtJeffry Enoc, 23, Bernie Cristobal, 34 andBenito Samillano, 49, all residents of BarangayKibudoc, Matalam.Tayong said the victims were on a wake of a dead relative when the suspects lobbed the grenade at past 1 a.m. Tuesday.Last Friday, five persons were injured when two men riding on a motorbike tossed a fragmentation grenade at a motorcycle shop near the town's welcome rotunda.Police remained clueless on the identities of the attackers and their motive.
