COA RD urges LGU to sustain fiscal accountability

TACURONG CITY - Continue to uphold public accountability
through delivery of ideal service.

This is the challenge of Commission on
Audit Regional Director Susan Pace-Donalvo to the LGU officials of the City of
Tacurong during her lecture on fiscal responsibility, accountability, and
liability on February 1, 2016 at Palm Bistro, Barangay Calean, Tacurong City.

Donalvo discussed the Government Auditing
Code of the Philippines or the PD 1445 and emphasized that government resources
must not be wasted or improperly used. Government officers and employees must
ensure efficiency, economy, and effectiveness in all tasks and operations,”
said Donalvo.

In Tacurong, we always see to it that our
undertakings are in consonance with the rules and are aligned with the values
of integrity and accountability,” Mayor Lina O. Montilla said.Mayor Montilla, Vice Mayor Joseph George
Lechonsito, members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod, and heads of LGU offices participated
in the half-day activity.
