Cops arrest couple, seize P1.2-M shabu in North Cotabato

GEN. SANTOS CITY - Police authorities in Police Regional Office 12 (PRO12) in coordination with other government agencies seized 175 grams of “Shabu” with street value of Php 1,190,000 and PHP 27,700 cash from a couple at Sitio Galay, Barangay, Kibayao, Carmen, Cotabato Province.
Spouses Jomar Sampulna and Noraisa Sampulna were arrested by virtue of Search Warrant by joint elements of Carmen MPS, PDEA Cotabato Province, 602nd Brigade and 4th SAB PNP SAF at daybreak of October 25, 2019.
Brig. Gen. Alfred S Corpus, PRO-12 regional director, said the suspects were former residents of Ulandang, Midsayap Cotabato and were monitored for actively engaging in illegal drug activities as their names are included in the PDEA watch list.
RD PRO 12 added that PRO 12 together with other concerned agencies are serious on its campaign against illegal drugs and will continue its determined its efforts to crackdown the use and trade of illegal drugs in the region
Suspects are now placed in the custody of PRO 12 while a case for violation of Section 11 of Republic Act 9165 is being readied for filing against suspects.
