Cotabato Light to implement rotational brownout

COTABATO CITY - Like any other areas in Mindanao, the Cotabato Light and Power Company (Cotabato Light) is receiving limited supply from the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP).Water level of the Agus and Pulangin hydropower plans have been at critical situation, reducing production while the STEAG power firm in Misamis Oriental is scheduled for preventive maintenance.STEAG unit 1 has been undergoing preventive maintenance operations from July 18 to August 16.The Mt. Apo geothermal plant also undergoes preventive maintenance.With the limited supply, Cotabato Light said in a statement itwill soon implement rotational brownoutin its service areas in Cotabato City and the towns of Sultan Kudarat and Datu Odin Sinsuat in Maguindanao.In the meantime, the Cotabato Light's diesel fed generators are working.
