Cotabato Light rations power due to limited supply

COTABATO CITY -- Due to limited supply of electricity from the country's power generators, theCotabato Light and Power Company is now rationing power to its consumers in itsfranchise area.Arlene Hepiga of the Cotabato Light information and communication office, said the utility firm iscurrently experiencing a limited power supply with a total grid wide deficiency of255 megawattdue to emergency shutdown of power generatorsTSI unit 1 with 150 MW reduction and the preventive maintenance of STEAG one unit with 105 MW power deficiencysince November 21.Scheduled power interruption started at 10 a.m. and will last until 11 p.m. today, with some areas experiencing 1 or2 hour brownout.
