Cotelco explains unscheduled power outages

CITY – A spokesperson of the North Cotabato Electric Cooperative today said
power interruption is imminent in its service area anytime.

We
cannot avoid unscheduled power interruption,” Vincent Baguio, speaking for Cotelco,
said on power outages that occur every now and then.

He
said some power lines of Cotelco had been affected by fallen trees, fallen
electric posts and acts of nature that led to power interruption in some of its
service area.

Especially
when the rain is coupled with strong winds, chances are tree branches touch
live power lines that trigger power interruption,” he told DXND Radyo Bida.

He
said power supply from power distributor was not a problem of the power cooperative
but the unfavorable weather.

He
vowed that Cotelco will quickly respond to incidents like busted power lines,
fallen electric posts and other problems that may trigger power outages.
