DENR-ARMM to complete cadastal survey before election

COTABATO CITY –
The Department of Environment and Natural Resources in the Autonomous Region in
Muslim Mindanao (DENR-ARMM) will resume its cadastal survey on political
boundaries in the region.
DENR-ARMM Sec.
Kahal Kedtag said the survey aims to finalize the political boundaries of local
government units in the provines of Maguindanao, Lanao del Sur, Basilan, Sulu
and Tawi-Tawi ahead of next year’s national and local elections.
He said the
cadastal survey is mandated by the Office of the President and DENR Sec. Ramon
Paje.
Paje has said
the century-old cadastral project implemented in all the regions in the country
are expected to be completed before the election that will determine political
boundaries down to the barangay level.
